I graduated as a physiotherapist in 2019, after which I have worked in hospitals in various surgical specialties, both in the public and private sectors. My work experience focuses on post-surgical rehabilitation and guidance. I am also a trained massage therapist and have completed a specialization in sports massage therapy at the Finnish Sports Institute.

I mainly work on an orthopedic inpatient ward and spend one day a week at an outpatient clinic. I am happy to help you rehabilitate after hip or knee joint replacement surgery.

As a physiotherapist, I am positive, encouraging, and empathetic. I rehabilitate my patients in a client-centered and goal-oriented manner, utilizing scientifically proven methods.

In my free time, I engage in various physical activities such as walking with dogs, strength training, running, and yoga. I developed an interest in exercise at the threshold of adulthood and have successfully turned it into a lifestyle. I can also help you find the joy of movement with a powerful and encouraging approach to your training.

In my clinic, I assess radiating pain symptoms from cervical and lumbar nerve root issues, as well as symptoms caused by spinal canal stenosis. I am also happy to assess treatment and follow-up plans for brain tumors, as well as the need for surgical treatment or monitoring of other intracranial and intraspinal tumors and imaging findings.

You can also come to my clinic for:

• Evaluating symptoms following head injuries
• Discussing shunt treatment, cerebral artery aneurysms, or other vascular abnormalities
• Assessing the need for craniotomy for the removal of skull bone lesions.

In my position at the HUS university hospital, I work extensively with brain tumor patients. I perform surgeries on intracranial and intraspinal tumors and collaborate in a neuro-oncology team that plans comprehensive care for brain tumor patients. Additionally, I treat and perform surgeries on patients suffering from degenerative diseases of the cervical and lumbar spine, such as herniated discs and stenosis of the spinal canal or nerve root openings.

In the field of spinal surgery, I have also supervised several theses and doctoral research projects focused on the effectiveness and long-term outcomes of spinal surgery.

I have extensive and broad experience in university hospital-level abdominal surgery. I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of upper abdominal issues, including pancreatic, liver, gallbladder, and gastric problems.

Assessments of the operability of pancreatic, liver, gallbladder, and gastric tumors, or other local treatment options (including second opinions).
Surgeries include:

• Whipple procedure (pancreaticoduodenectomy)
• Other pancreatic resections
• Partial or total gastric resections
• Spleen removals
• Liver surgeries
• Gallbladder removal surgeries

I perform surgeries both open and laparoscopically, depending on the case. I prefer laparoscopic surgery whenever possible. I also perform gastroscopies (stomach endoscopies).
I always approach each patient holistically and seek the best individualized treatment option for them.
