Orton has once again secured a spot on Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals list, which highlights the top hospitals around the globe. The listing provides important information on hospital quality for both patients and healthcare professionals, helping them make informed decisions when choosing a place of care.
The 2025 edition evaluated hospitals across 30 different countries. The assessment criteria included expert surveys, patient experiences, hospital quality indicators, and patient surveys. The results were published in March 2025.
In the Finnish ranking, Orton placed 10th — the only private hospital among university and central hospitals.

The evaluation covered over 2,400 hospitals, with the top 250 making it onto the list. Leading the global ranking were institutions such as Mayo Clinic (USA), Cleveland Clinic (USA), Toronto General Hospital (Canada), Johns Hopkins Hospital (USA), and Karolinska University Hospital (Sweden).
The highest-ranking Finnish hospital on the global list was HUS, at position 43.
