The best ways to protect yourself from respiratory infections
Greetings – say hello without shaking hands.
Hand washing – the most important way to also prevent stomach diseases and traveler’s diarrhea.
Always wash your hands
- when you come in from outside
- before cooking and eating
- after going to the toilet or changing a diaper
- after coughing, sneezing or touching the same surfaces as someone with a cold.
- do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth unless you have just washed your hands.
Cough right
- cover your mouth and nose with a disposable tissue when you cough or sneeze.
- if you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into the top of your shirt sleeve, not into your hands.
- put the used tissue in the trash immediately.
